Plenary meetings of the FCE in 2024 at 4 p.m. :
The Federal Commission for medical and scientific research on embryos in-vitro was set by the law about embryos of 11 May 2003. The Commission was officially appointed on 6 June 2006 and since then takes the tasks within its competence:
granting the permission to carry out a research project on embryos in vitro in Belgium,
collecting all information about research projects in Belgium,
proposing changes of the law about embryos,
giving directives to the local ethics committees and researchers.
